So, I have finally received my beautiful ebony wand… I did an incredible amount of research on it before my purchase. Something really spoke to me with this wand. It was gorgeous and I could not take my eyes off of it. It was so smooth and sleek… Really something to behold. I was really drawn in, even though I thought I wasn’t ready for a wand, I made the purchase.
I got it yesterday (finally!). I was trapped in a trance of its beauty. I had to go back and see what this wood can REALLY do.. It felt so very powerful in my hands. Now, my magical goal is to work with all the elements and light (earth, air, fire, water, spirit, and light) and low and behold…… the wand works with all elements.. it also works with both energy genders.. I can’t explain it, but Scott Cunningham seems to be able to..
Here is an excerpt from a website I was doing some research on about the wand:
Ebony is well-known as the most powerful magical wood. Scott Cunningham, trusted writer of over 30 books about magic and the occult, writes about ebony, “Ebony wood is protective and so is used in making amulets. Ebony wands give the magician pure, unadulterated power.”
The power of ebony is non-discriminating. It is useful for any magical practice and with any element. It is especially useful in spells dealing with the home, love, and Venus.
The quality was fantastic. I really thought that I would be a bit disappointed with something to do with it (must have been the nerves while I was waiting for its arrival) but it’s perfect. No flaws, not a single scratch or knick (yet). I was concerned that it would have this horrible manufactured look to it, but its very natural. The cut is beautiful too, it fits perfectly in my hands. It’s as though this wand was made for my hands (which is strange since I have long lanky fingers and a small palm). It was finished with some oil, not varnish. It’s well balanced and evenly so, not heavy. Perfect length too (about 14 or 15 inches). It feels so good and the energy feels equally awesome.
I was going to post a photo or two, but gosh those photos do it NO justice. I will tag them here if I can get some really nice shots, but until then, it really makes no sense. So the photo above will just have to do for the time being.
As I grow magically with it, I will post more updates here 🙂
