The entire spell should be done in a magic circle of sunflowers, gold/red gemstones and crystals, or rose quartz on the new moon.
You will need:
- wand
- copper cauldron
- sea salt
- sunflowers
- gold/red gemstones and crystals
- rose quartz
Inscribe any symbols you want on your want first. Boil water in a copper cauldron and mix in the salt. Stir three times deosil (clockwise) and say:
May the Goddess enter the water, may the Goddess make it pure.
Then leave to cool in the garden in a sunny spot and say:
May Apollo’s rays fill you up with power.
Add a quartz crystal to the cauldron. It should take an hour or so. Place the cauldron, when cool, on your alter until the next full moon.
Take your wand-to-be on full moon and place it in the cauldron with the water. Burn incense. Do outside (preferably nude). Take the quartz and smash it into powder. Drop some into the flames and say:
May Apollo’s light be released.
Throw the rest into the cauldron. Stir three times deosil with wand and say:
Wand of (willow, elder), wand of life
You shall follow me through all strife
As I will it, so mote it be.
Allow the wand to dry on your window sill. Now your wand is ready to use in place of an athame.
